Another beautiful wedding from last October was Eva and Brett. The weather was perfect for this outdoor wedding in Piedmont Park. When I met Eva and Brett I could tell they were a fun loving couple who were crazy about each other. I mean look at their first look picture, it is adorable! Eva also has a crazy talented mom who handmade their guest book map, just married sign, peach jam favors, table numbers, and my personal favorite the skyline escort cards. You could feel the love and joy in the room for Eva and Brett. And when the guests hit the dance floor the moves were amazing! Thanks for letting me share in your special day!
This summer was rain, rain, rain. I have grown up in Georgia and cannot remember another time when we had so much rain! So as Julia and Luke’s wedding day approached I was getting pretty nervous about their outdoor ceremony. Luckily, mother-nature was on our side and we squeezed in a beautiful ceremony outside in The Trolley Barn’s garden and were inside with twenty minutes to spare before the downpour. Whew!
Inside The Trolley Barn, Julia and Luke loved the natural beauty of the venue and accenuated it with rustic decor and wildflowers. My favorite personal touch they added was their “table names”. Each table had a trail name on it that Julia and Luke had hiked together. And the wedding party table was labeled ‘Great Rocky Mountains” where they went to hike on their honeymoon! How cute is that?!
We had another beautiful wedding this June at the Old Decatur Courthouse on the square. Karen and Justin wanted a no fuss wedding surrounded by their loved ones and that is exactly what they got. They used simple pink and cream flowers that complimented the space perfectly! Their ceremony performed by Rev. Perry Rintye was so sweet and personal with him sharing what they both loved about each other. Karen did not want to deal with the crazy Atlanta heat outside so Caroline Petters captured shots of the couple in front of the gorgeous windows inside the courthouse. Thanks for letting me share in your special day guys, it was a pleasure!
I had been dying to help plan a wedding at Montaluce Winery. The grounds there are just unbelievable! So I was so glad to meet Sayako and begin about a year long relationship of wedding planning. I was even happier to see these photos from Studio B Photography that captured the beauty of the day so well! (Yes, I am talking about the bride too!) Most of Sayako’s family flew in from Japan and stayed at the Villas at Montaluce, which is where the bride and groom also spent their first night together as husband and wife. I remember talking to Sayako at our first meeting and the feel that she was going for was “romantic”. With a fire roaring in the fireplace, dinner by candlelight and the view of the vineyards….I don’t see how she could have picked a better place!!
Flowers by Kirk Whitfield of K&Co.
Pimento Cheese Popcorn and Sea Salt and Caramel Popcorn for the guests to take home!! YUMMY!
These two were troopers on their wedding day. We started off the afternoon by entering the Old Decatur Courthouse a little too early and then all of the sudden the security alarm is going off! Oh, and did I mention it was raining? Jess Fouts made it work in the old ballroom and if I hadn’t said anything you never would have known by these gorgeous pictures! When life hands you a torrential down pour on your wedding day, pull out an umbrella and head to the bar, right?!! That’s what Katie and Scott did at the end of their wedding night. I’m sure they will always remember the rain, but hopefully it doesn’t take away from the fun evening had by all!
There is not much I do not love about this wedding. I love the colors, I love the people, I love the flowers, I love the couple and I love the energy that was in the room that night at the Old Decatur Courthouse. The energy probably had something to do with the belly dancer that Mary hired to surprise Scott. Yes, I said belly dancer. It was quite a show!!Mary had a smile from ear to ear the entire day. Just like a little girl on Christmas morning. There were actually times throughout the day that she couldn’t even speak from being so excited. And then there were times when she just kept saying over and over, “Is this real?, I can’t believe this is happening. This seems so unreal!” So pretty much her wedding was absolutely perfect and beautiful and she couldn’t have asked for more! The Reason I love Photography captured all the things I loved about this day and there were so many pictures it was so hard to just pick a few. I think this one is magazine worthy, don’t you?
Congratulations Scott and Mary!! And many thanks to their wedding team…..
Lindsay and Alex were married on one of the hottest days in June here in Atlanta, GA. (Well, maybe I say that about every day here in the summer) But nevertheless, it was a beautiful and perfect day. Lindsay and Alex went to Georgia Tech and actually only a few weeks before were finishing up tests to get ready to make the final details for their wedding day. Thank goodness she had a superwoman of a mom to help her plan this big day. Once Like a Spark was in heaven with all the beautiful back drops that Atlanta Botanical Garden had to offer for photos. They really were able to capture all the little details that help make up this happy story for Lindsay and Alex. Enjoy!
Going out in style!
Special thanks to all the great vendors that put in a super team effort to make everything go so well!
This year I shared my birthday with Erica and Ben Sheidler and 200 of their closest friends and family. I’d say that was probably the best birthday cake and the biggest crowd that ever showed up on my birthday! 😉 The Saturday before this was a record high in Atlanta with a temp of 108 degrees. Camilly Harvey, Erica’s mom, wasn’t about to let the heat mess up her daughters day so she packed a bag full of ice packs, little fans and cold bottled waters for the wedding party. Thank goodness because there was no way we could not take pictures on the rooftop terrace of the Loews Hotel where they got ready that day! Totally gorgeous and right in the heard of midtown Atlanta! Erica, you were stunning and Camille, I know you are so proud to see these beautiful pictures by The Photography Collection!
Thank you to all the wonderful vendors who helped make this day perfect for Erica and Ben!
Finally getting to see some of the gorgeous pictures from our busy month of June! First up….Alaina and Kevin, June 2!
We were so glad to be back at Park Tavern in the Piedmont Room for Alaina and Kevin’s beautiful day. It was a hot day, but who was thinking about the heat when you had that gorgeous Atlanta skyline in the background. The park was busy, the weather was perfect and the flowers were breathtaking. Alaina was a bride that knew exactly what she wanted from the very get go and nobody was about to change her mind. While trying to complete the Physicians Assistant program at Mercer University, wedding planning never took the back burner. She was one of the most organized brides I have ever worked with and just adored her groom, Kevin Burran! This turned out to be such a magical night. We even got to hear Alaina’s grandpa sing us a Sinatra tune! Thanks guys for letting us be a part of your special day.
Another beautiful day in Atlanta, and another fabulous wedding at the Wimbish House! Caitlin and David Chambers were married on March 24, 2012 and Neal Reeves Photography was able to capture the memories for them on their special day! It was such a pleasure working with Caitlin and her family, as I only met David at rehearsal for the first time, as I do many grooms. But, yes, he was wonderful to work with as well and really has stolen his brides heart. Both of them were so calm this day and really were able to take it all in and enjoy themselves. Caitlin along with Melanie, Le Bonne Fleur, picked out beautiful colors that worked perfectly with the syle of the house and even the bride was able to finish up a few DIY projects to tie it all together. Congratulations Caitlin and David!
